Hall of Fame News from the Front Lines

Can’t wait for the big night, incredible program shaping up! These past few days we’ve received commitments to purchase a table from Robert Rodriguez, Elizabeth Avellan, IATSE 484, the Texas Film Commission, and Soundcheck Austin. Adding this to early commitments from Richard Linklater and William Morris Endeavor (Quentin Tarantino’s agent) and a full-page ad from The Weinstein Co., it’s gratifying that the film and digital entertainment industry is stepping up to support its own. William Morris Endeavor and Soundcheck also supplied two juicy items for the live auction: a walk-on part in Wes Craven’s next film, and a deluxe package to the Grammys including the coveted MusiCares event two nights before.

These commitments from the industry complement the efforts of the gala committee, who have been beating the bushes in earnest selling tables and collecting live auction and scratch-off lottery items. It is humbling to have so many people volunteering and giving on our behalf.
