AFS Presents THE BEACHES OF AGNES For December Doc Tour

The Austin Film Society is pleased to present THE BEACHES OF AGNES by Agnes Varda on Wednesday, December 9 at 7 PM at The Alamo Downtown (320 E. 6th Street) for our December documentary presentation. The film is on the shortlist of fifteen documentaries to qualify for an Academy Award nomination.

“THE BEACHES OF AGNES, is a glorious summation and culmination of her work in both narrative and documentary film,” writes Chale Nafus, Director of Programming for the Austin Film Society. “Even if you have never seen a film by Agnes Varda, this documentary will usher you right into her amazing life and work and make you want to track down such unique films as CLEO FROM 5 TO 7 (1962), LE BONHEUR (1965), BLACK PANTHERS (1968), LIONS LOVE (1969), MUR MURS (1981), DOCUMENTEUR (1981), VAGABOND (1985), and THE GLEANERS AND I (2000).”

Tickets are $4 for AFS members and students with a valid ID / $6 for the general public. Tickets may be purchased at austinfilm.org
