Talking Trash with Allison and Andy

Austin Studios will be this weekend’s host of The Trash Project, the latest and largest endeavor of Austin choreographer Allison Orr.  The creative director of Forklift Danceworks is teaming up with select personnel from the city’s Solid Waste Services Department to combine grace, skill and garbage trucks in a free, hour-long show beginning at 7:30pm on Saturday Sept. 12.

Austin filmmaker Andy Garrison and crew will be on hand with at least ten cameras to document the event.  Though not technically part of the show, the crew must dance their way around the heavy machinery to come away with Garrison’s cinematic vision of his fellow artist’s work.
